This book is based on papers delivered at the 39th Indonesia Update conference convened in 2022 by Angie Bexley, Sarah Dong and Diahhadi Setyonaluri at The Australian National University in Canberra, Australia.

The launch is hosted by LPEM FEB UI and ANU Indonesia Project, with the support of Ministry of Finance RI. HE Dr Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Finance of Indonesia, will launch the book. Chaikal Nuryakin (LPEM FEB UI) and HE Penny Wiliams PSM (Ambassador of Australia) will deliver remarks.

Editors Angie Bexley (Program KONEKSI) and Diahhadi Setyonaluri (Universitas Indonesia) and author Andy Yentriyani (KOMNAS Perempuan) will give an overview of the book and its contents. Ninuk Pambudy, Senior Editor Kompas, will discuss the book’s contributions to the academic and policy discourse on gender equality in Indonesia.
