The Institute of Economic and Social Research, the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Indonesia (LPEM FEB UI) has organized a dissemination of the launch of research entitled The Economic Impact of the GoTo Ecosystem on the National Economy in the Year 2022. The event will be hybrid on March 29, 2023 at the GoPay Room, Gojek Head Office.

Based on research conducted by LPEM FEB UI found that PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (“GoTo”) is the largest digital ecosystem in Indonesia. GoTo continues to make a positive contribution in supporting national economic growth during the pandemic and the normalization of community activities in 2022. According to the latest FEB UI LPEM study, the GoTo Group is estimated to provide added value of Rs349-428 trillion to the national economy, equivalent to 1.8-2,2% of Indonesian GDP in 2022. The value comes from the added value generated by the activities of the company and partners within its ecosystem: driver partners and UMKM.

The research uses two business scenarios, the optimistic scenario and the pessimistic scenario. In the optimistic scenario, the revenue of drivers and UMKM partners from other cities is considered to be equal to the income of driver partners and UMKL partners in eight major cities from the survey results.
