LABOR MARKET BRIEF: Volume 4, Number 1, January 2023

Indonesia opened the beginning of 2023 with exemplary achievements based on poverty indicators recorded at the end of 2022. The number of poor people in Indonesia had a slight increase, but the percentage of poor people has remained in the single digits and other indicators also improved, such asĀ the poverty depth index, poverty severity index, open unemployment rate, and the proportion of full-time workers. On the one hand, the Gini ratio has not changed post-pandemic. TheĀ Indonesian economy generally improved during the two-year recovery period after the 2020 pandemic.
