BPS mencatat inflasi (umum) sebesar 0,66% (mtm) atau 3,45% (yoy) pada bulan Juni 2016. Inflasi disebabkan oleh kenaikan harga pada tujuh kelompok pengeluaran. Dari enam komoditas utama pembentuk inflasi LPEM-FEB UI, empat diantaranya mengalami kenaikan harga yaitu daging ayam ras, telur ayam ras, ikan segar, dan beras.
